Jesus continued to teach.  As He did so, He began to repeat His clear call to what would soon be Catholic Communion.

He told them, again and again and again:  “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.”

The first few times He said that, the new followers thought “He is speaking symbolically.  That must be a metaphor He will explain.”

“Verily, verily I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”
