Catholics consider an impossible prayer for Protestants.

Catholics realize:  Many of us and our ancestors have kept our own, unborn babies from being born.  Many are killed by abortionists.  Billions more are being killed by using abortion-inducing birth control chemicals and implants.

Their souls came into being at conception.  They live, forever.

We did not do enough to keep them alive, on earth.  We let the demons of vanity lead us to end their lives on earth.  “I do not want to be bothered.”, we said.

At Judgment, they will be sitting on our jury.  We should ask them to forgive us with this prayer:

“God, please bless my soul and the souls of all my ancestors.  Please, bless the souls of all their descendants.  Please, bless the souls of those who were kept from life on earth.  Please, forgive us, the living, for whatever we did, or did not do, to keep them them life.”

That is an impossible prayer for Protestants who support denominations that are too afraid of losing donations to condemn all that kills the unborn.

We cannot expect to be forgiven if we knowingly support a denomination that is too afraid of losing donors to condemn the killing of all unborn children.  As a children’s book once said, “A baby’s a baby, no matter how small.”

We pray that Protestant denominations will value the unborn children of their own congregations and clergy enough to condemn the killing.

We cannot expect to be forgiven if we say, “God forgive me.” and do not insist that our denominations demand doctrine that protects all children, “no matter how small”.

If we support denominations that refuse to protect life, we become part of the death-dealing confusion.  That self-serving contradiction keeps our prayer:

“God, please bless my soul and the souls of all my ancestors.  Please, bless the souls of all their descendants.  Please, bless the souls of those who were kept from life on earth.  Please, forgive us, the living, for whatever we did, or did not do, to keep them from life.”

from being answered.  And, it keeps us from meaningfully obeying:  “Life must be protected from conception until natural death.”
