Computers help us understand our relationship with God. Sometimes, our computer files get corrupted. We have to erase their errors or our computer will crash.
At Baptism, our soul is bright and shining, cleansed from Original Sin.
From that moment on, souls are darkened by corrupting sin. Our thoughts, words, and deeds are recorded in our mind. Trillions of tiny particles make a file of what we think, say, and do.
Some thoughts, words, and deeds darken our soul. When our files are corrupted, our souls grow darker.
At Judgment, bright and shining souls are admitted into Heaven. How can we clean up our souls?
Catholics are blessed. We respect Jesus enough to be in The Only Church He Founded when He Decreed to one man, one time:
“And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”
One of those “keys to The Kingdom of Heaven” is Absolution! Absolution cleanses our soul! Jesus gave His First Catholic Bishops this awesome power:
“Those whose sins you forgive on earth are forgiven in Heaven.”
Every Catholic priest is ordained in living link with Jesus’ Ordination of His First Catholic Bishops. How do we know the Apostles were The First Catholic Bishops? They founded Catholic Churches that sent Catholic Representatives to Catholic Councils called by Catholic Successors to Peter for hundreds of years. Some still do!
So, Catholics clean our souls with Confession. We receive Absolution from the only people on earth Jesus empowered to provide it! We get rid of the corrupting vanity that keeps many souls from being among the vain, conceited people who think: “I can get to Heaven without obeying Jesus!”
