Catholics are aware of the power of prayer.

Catholics are aware of the power of prayer. What is a prayer? A message to God. Each prayer asks God to do something for us or for others.

Catholics consider:

1. How big is a prayer? Most of our prayers are silent. So, they are far smaller than a whisper. Each is a tiny, tiny e-mail that we send to God through a wireless connector. A prayer may be about a millionth as big as the . at the end of a sentence. It zips through time and space to He Who made time and space and all within.

2. Billions of people ask Him for help. Each tiny micro-whisper goes to “The Celestial Help Desk”. It is staffed by Saints and Angels. They work around the Millennial Clock, serving God. Each Saint has a specialty. Catholics prayers go directly to Specialists in The Desired Department.

3. God is aware of all prayers. Sometimes, God ignores prayers. He does not always respond to prayers from those who willfully disobey Him. He hardly ever responds to requests for winning lottery numbers.

How does God does answer prayers? His angels are “answers to prayers”. The answer to our prayer shoots into our soul, spirit, mind, or body. An angel may neutralize a proton to kill a cancer cell. Others may short-circuit electron flow in a neuron to keep a sin from being committed.

In 1 Kings 19: 11-13, God let Elijah “see” Him. First, Elijah saw God’s invisible Army of Atom-smashing Angels! His angels were “overthrowing the mountains, and breaking the rocks in pieces”.

Catholics understand that “breaking rocks in pieces” means “atom-smashing”! God’s angels are able to smash molecular and atomic bonds that hold together the things of Creation whenever God wants.

“but the Lord is not in the wind. And after the wind, an earthquake: but the Lord is not in the earthquake. And after the earthquake, a fire: but the Lord is not in the fire. And after the fire, a whistling of a gentle air.”

That was God! He was preceded by His angels!

Catholics are aware of the power of prayer.
