The Catholic Bible includes The Seven Books of The Septuagint. Jesus quoted from The Septuagint. One of those Books is Sirach. 48:1-4, 9-11 includes God’s Prophecy about Elijah re-appearing as John The Baptist.
“You were destined, it is written, in time to come to put an end to wrath before the day of the LORD, To turn back the hearts of fathers toward their sons, and to re-establish the tribes of Jacob. Blessed is he who shall have seen you and who falls asleep in your friendship.”
Jesus specifically explained that Elijah did re-appear as John The Baptist. Mt 17 includes:
” . . but I tell you that Elijah has already come, and they did not recognize him but did to him whatever they pleased. So also will the Son of Man suffer at their hands. Then the disciples understood that he was speaking to them of John the Baptist.”

What is the Mystery solved by St. Bede?
The Bible tells us that Elijah was to “re-establish the tribes of Jacob.”
But, The Book of Revelation makes it clear: The Tribe of Dan is not included among The Twelve Tribes listed in Revelation 7, 5-8!
That is a Great Mystery! Not all “the Tribes of Judah” were “re-established”!
St. Bede solved The Mystery: “Why no Dan / in The Promised Land?”

St. Bede taught us why God did not include The Tribe of Dan among the Tribes with 12,000 representatives in Heaven!
“With good reason, he (St. John) begins with Judah, from which tribe our Lord sprang; and has omitted Dan, from whom, as it is said, Antichrist is to be born; for it is written, “Let Dan become an adder in the way, a horned serpent in the path, biting the horse-hoofs, that his rider may fall.”
We hope Protestants will notice the simple fact. Dan’s willful disobedience kept him and his entire Tribe from Heaven!

Many of us have wondered, “Why no Dan / in The Promised Land?”
Now, we know.
Thank you, St. Bede!
