No one says “Be Catholic!” as clearly as St. John! 5.

St. John and St. Andrew listened to John The Baptist.  They left him and followed Jesus Christ in John 1: 35.

“Hearing this, the two disciples followed Jesus.  Jesus turned around, saw them following and said:  “What do you want?”

Both John and Andrew are included in the word “you”.  The two of them answered His question with a question of their own:

“They answered ‘Rabbi – which means ‘teacher’- where do You live?'”

~

Jesus asks all who follow Him the same question!  Jesus asks all of us, “What do you want?”  None of us reply by asking Him the very odd question:  “Where do you live?”

How did Jesus answer?

“Come and see.” He replied;  so they went and saw where He lived and stayed with Him the rest of that day.”   They met with him at 4:00 in the afternoon.  The Hebrew day ended when “three stars were visible”.   So, John and Andrew spent four or five hours “where” Jesus lived.

“Where” did Jesus live?

He Who Fulfilled The Prophecies lived in time and space!  Catholics know!   Jesus Christ Spoke all of time and space into being!  “In the beginning was The Word:  The Word was with god and the Word was God.  He was with God in the beginning.”

Jesus spent the rest of that afternoon and evening showing St. John and St. Andrew around His “House of God!”

That’s where Jesus lived!   His “House” is “The Kingdom of Heaven”!  He only “visited” on earth!

Every Catholic answers the question of Jesus, “What do you want?” the same way!

Catholics cry out in response:  “We want to live in Your House forever!”

~

Every Catholic knows!  The “House” of Jesus is The Kingdom of Heaven!

Every Catholic knows!  Jesus left “the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven” to one person in all of History!

“And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”
