Catholics open our eyes. We look at Today’s Reading from Jesus Christ in The Bible!
Mt 5:17-19: “Jesus said to his disciples: “Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill.”
Jesus is telling us who He is! He is The Fulfillment of The Prophecies! He is The Second Person of The Holy Trinity. He is God in human form!
Then, Jesus continues.
“Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place.”

Do you know what Catholics notice? We see that Jesus used the word “letter” twice!
St. Isidore of Seville told us how important “letters” are. He explained, over a thousand years ago. “Books are made out of words and words are made out of letters.”
Then, St. Isidore explained. “Letters are made out of lines. There are two kinds of lines. Some lines are straight. Some are curved. Some letters are made of lines that are both curved and straight.”
“I”, “O” and “P” are examples of each.
St. Isidore still helps us understand what Jesus said! “not the smallest letter or the smallest part of a letter” will pass away! (emphasis added)

Then, Jesus Christ, tells us what happens if we willfully disobey any of the “words” that are made from the “letters” He left on earth!
“Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do so will be called least in the Kingdom of heaven.”
Jesus is specifically telling us why Protestants should obey this “Instruction/Commandment” from Him:
“And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”
Then, Jesus tells us how important it is to obey all of His Words!
“But whoever obeys and teaches these commandments will be called greatest in the Kingdom of heaven.”
What is Jesus Christ saying?
