Is Willful Protestantism the “idol” that is “Deadly Sin”?

Catholics see a simple fact: there are soul-devouring idols.

Question 1: “Why do Catholics take 1 Jn 5:14-21 to heart?”

Answer: “We see how St. John begins! ‘Beloved: We have this confidence in Him that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.’

~

Question 2: “Can a person live ‘according to His will’ if they willfully disobey Any Teaching from Him?”

Answer: “That is the most intelligent question a person can ask! Catholics ‘live according to His will’ by obeying: ‘And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.’

~

Question 3: “Many people have a hard time obeying That Word of Jesus! Why do Catholics obey?”

Answer: “‘And if we know that He hears us in regard to whatever we ask, we know that what we have asked Him for is ours.’ Catholics have ‘asked Him for’ the ‘keys to The Kingdom of Heaven’ and they are ‘ours’!”

~

Question 4: “Those ‘keys’ are The Seven Catholic Sacraments and the Intercession of His Holy Saints and Angels. How can Catholics help our beloved neighbors get those ‘keys’?”

Answer: “We pray for their souls! ‘If anyone sees his brother sinning, if the sin is not deadly, he should pray to God and He will give him life.’

~

Question 5: “Can all Willful Protestants be saved?”

Answer: “No. ‘This is only for those whose sin is not deadly. There is such a thing as deadly sin, about which I do not say that you should pray. All wrongdoing is sin, but there is sin that is not deadly.’

Question 6: “How do Catholics know we may be saved?”

Answer: “‘We know that anyone begotten by God does not sin; but the one begotten by God He protects, and the Evil One cannot touch him. We know that we belong to God, and the whole world is under the power of the Evil One.’

~

Question 7: “Is one ‘sin’ that is ‘deadly’ willfully choosing to serve ‘the Evil One’?”

Answer: Catholics know! ‘We also know that the Son of God has come and has given us discernment to know The One Who is True. And we are in The One Who is True, in His Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.’

~

Question 8: “Is any thought or idea that leads us to reject Any Teaching of Jesus Christ a soul-devouring ‘idol’?

Answer: “Yes! ‘‘Children, be on your guard against idols.’ We should reject any ‘idols’ of vanity that keep us from being in God’s Holy Church! May God bless us all to be among ‘You are My friends if you obey My commands.’
