A new look at the souls in hell. #35.

May we all be blessed to get on, and stay on, The Ladder to Heaven!

~

Question 1: “Whose souls suffer the most in hell?”

Answer: “Dante gave us an answer in ‘The Divine Comedy’. He named three souls in the lowest circle of hell: Brutus, Judas, and Mohammed.”

~

Question 2: “Did they all commit the same sin?

Answer: “Each of them chose to betray a Higher Authority to gain wealth and popularity.”

~

Question 3: “What do we learn from them?”

Answer: “It is best to do what Jesus told us: ‘Love God and our neighbors as ourselves.’

~

Question 4: “Do The Nine Circles of Hell measure how much a soul on earth hated God and their neighbors?”

Answer: “Hell is the exact opposite of Heaven. In Heaven, those who best loved God and their neighbors are Judged to be worthy of being Closer to God for eternity.”

~

Question 5: “Is there another way of seeing how souls of willfully disobedient people are punished in hell?”

Answer: “Catholic Fundamentalists consider that every soul in hell may be endlessly tormented by the souls of those they kept from loving God and their neighbors enough to get into Heaven.”

~

Question 6: “That’s an interesting idea! If we lead one person to reject ‘the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven’, can their soul take revenge by tormenting our soul forever?”

Answer: “That seems to be one way that God’s Divine Justice may be served. Those in the lowest sections of hell may have souls swollen to make room for millions, even billions, of agonizing stingers of the souls they led to hell.”

~

Question 7: “The Book of Revelation (9:10-11) tells of a huge horde of ‘scorpions with stingers’. They attacked evil people on earth ‘for five months’. Could that connect with The Catholic Fundamentalism idea about the worst sinners being tormented by their awful pain in hell forever?”

Answer: “That is a reasonable description of what may happen to the souls of those who willfully ignore God. They hate themselves and their neighbors so much that they proudly reject the only ‘keys to The Kingdom of Heaven’ that Jesus left on earth:

‘And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.’
