Believe all, not part.

After having corresponded with hundreds of well-intentioned men and women in the various Protestant schisms, it is clear that there is a difference between Catholics and Protestants in terms of obedience.

Catholics take all of Scripture very seriously. Catholics do not ignore passages that may cause inconvenience them. For instance, Mt 4:4 is clear. “One does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes forth from the mouth of God.”

To Catholics, “every word” means “every word“. Catholics do not select some words and phrases while ignoring or jiggering others. It is clear that our life depends on “every word that comes forth from the mouth of God”.Believe all, not part.

Those most blessed by God see the connection between John 6:53 “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.” and the words of Mt. 4:4, “One does not live by bread alone, but on every word that comes forth from the mouth of God.” If you realize that you do not see the connection, God loves you enough to urge you to ask Him for guidance!

Mt. 4:4 does not limit the source of His words to Scripture. If the passage referred to Scripture only, then it would have said “every word that comes forth from the mouth of God in Scripture.”
So, there must be another source of God’s words. Where else can God’s words originate?

God speaks through The Only Church He Founded. Those whose denominations are as a pile of leaves fallen from a trunk have only Scripture. Not a single one of their 43,000 denominations is led by a legitimate successor of he whom Jesus told, “Thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

So, they are limited to Scripture and only focus on parts of it. The only way they may justify remaining in one of the schisms is to avoid the clear meaning of the “Catholic Passages”. They refer to His Church, His Body, His Blood, the Keys to Heaven, the power to forgive sins and provide the Sacraments.

The teachings of The Church were handed down with the doctrines established from The Apostles. Her teachings are studiously ignored by those who prefer the inventions of men to the Word of God. To some degree, they break the First Commandment, putting human teachings above the faith handed down from Jesus and The Apostles.

Protestants not happy with any of the 43,000 schisms? Take heart! A new schism comes into being every ten hours.

Every schism was invented by a vain man who pretended to be a humble servant. Is it possible to be a humble servant of one’s own vanity?
