The hardest question: Why are there Protestants?
Jesus founded One Church. It has barriers to entry. One barrier is the bizarre statement: “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.” Another is, “Thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church.” Other barriers include disapproval of fornication, artificial birth control, married clergy, abortion, and remarriage-at-will.
Those in schisms see the totality of The Seven Sacraments, Baptism, Confession, Communion, Confirmation, Marriage, Holy Orders, and Last Rites as barriers to entry. They may offer one or two Sacraments, like Baptism or Marriage. The Holy Spirit’s power is so great that The Church Jesus Founded recognizes both Baptism and Marriages performed in “The Name Of The Father, and of The Son, and of The Holy Spirit.” And, the more people who are baptized in His Name, the better their chances of getting to The Church He Founded.
Those who lack the humility to get past the barriers to entry often join weak, watered-down versions of The Church He Founded. In every age, The Catholic Church is surrounded by schisms with one thing in common: dislike of The Only Church Jesus Founded.
In our age, there are over 40,000 identifiable schisms. Each of these “Ladders to Heaven” was begun by a vain, ambitious man appealing to an identifiable group of similarly disaffected people. All in schism have this in common: they are unable to get past the barriers to entry of The Church Jesus Founded. Why can’t they pass the barriers to entry? God does not want them to.
The Church Jesus Founded is so powerful that all the schisms must claim some similarities in name and teaching. It’s power is such that even partial acceptance of it allows many believers to be better than otherwise. If a person is too vain to be Catholic, we must remember: Better to be a Protestant than worse.
The better Protestant schisms adapt more of The Church teachings from Jesus and the Apostles. The worst will reverse their own teaching to gain members and money.
Can they get to Heaven? Not unless they pass the barriers to entry.
So, why are there Protestants? Better to be a Protestant than worse.
