Bringing the dead places in our minds to life.

Our minds are programmed to know and love God. They come alive in proportion to our belief and obedience. Our ability to think automatically closes down to the degree that we are distant from God.

Those most distant from God deaden large parts of their minds with drugs and alcohol. Others distract themselves from the pain of not knowing God by with the usual obsessions and distractions. They are idols important to damaged minds reduced to lesser things than where its immortal soul will spend eternity. Those with dead places in their brains zero in on politics, excessive environmental concerns, and obsessive safety worries. Others are consumed with money, sports, house costs, sex, and the usual distractions we see separating people from God.

What of those who keep themselves a “comfortable distance” from God? They are include lapsed Catholics and members of the 40,000 schisms invented to provide cash flows for those who wanted to be ministers without taking vows of poverty, celibacy, and obedience. Those are “Groups in Schism”. Others at a “comfortable distance” are those who insist “I have a deep personal relationship with God”. They are in an “Individual Schism”.

It is obvious that one must believe and obey to be saved. Those in the schisms keep enough of their brains alive to believe they have sufficient faith to be saved. Some of them may. Others may be deluding themselves. The corrupting virus discourages those in group and individual schisms from The Only Church Jesus Founded, the Roman Catholic Church.

Tiny parts of schismatic minds are dead to two passages. Matthew 16: 18-20 tells us that Jesus said: “And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. [19] And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose upon earth, it shall be loosed also in heaven.”

Dead places in the schismatic mind cannot deal effectively with those clear, simple words. Neither can they deal with John 6: 53-54 “The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying: How can this man give us his flesh to eat? [54] Then Jesus said to them: Amen, amen I say unto you: Except you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, you shall not have life in you. [55] He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath everlasting life: and I will raise him up in the last day.”

Not only do the tiny deadened places in the schismatic minds keep them from seeing the truth in those two simple quotations, but also, it is impossible for them to “connect the dots”. Those of us blessed with the opening of the brain cells and connections see that we can only obey Jesus by receiving His Body and Blood in Catholic Communion.

Bringing the dead places in our minds to life. Why is this important? First, it saves our souls. Second, it keeps the Pro-Life people unified and can stop the slaughter of unborn innocents.

Our minds come alive. Our souls are saved. Abortion is stopped. Could there be better reasons to be Catholic?
