Catholics are the most blessed people on Earth.

Catholics see how important it is to ay "Yes." to Every Word of Jesus.

The two groups of people on Earth are described in The Book of Genesis.  Eve, Adam, and Cain disobeyed God. Abel obeyed.

For 2,000 years, The Holy Spirit has let Catholics be gratefully in the only Church Spoken Into Being by The Church-Creating Word of He Who Fulfilled the Prophesies to His First Catholic Pope:  “And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

What keeps people from being Catholic?

The “evil one” is mentioned in Today’s Gospel, Mt. 5:33-37.  He leads all he can to reject that Teaching.   His demon of pride opens the door to hell by taking form in this sentence of death:  “You and I  know more than Jesus.”

Pride opens the mind to demons of envy, greed, gluttony, anger, lust, and sloth.  Catholics see those demons taking form in our minds with one, unholy acronym:  “peggals”.

How do Catholics keep the demons of pride from taking our souls to hell?

Today’s Catholic Gospel, Mt 5:33-37 tells:  “Do not swear by your head, for you cannot make a single hair white or black.  Let your ‘Yes’ mean ‘Yes’, and your ‘No’ mean ‘No’.  Anything more is from the Evil One.”

So, when we are most meaningfully Catholic, we say “Yes” to every Word of Jesus that has taken form in all Church Teachings about which Jesus Promised: “the gates of hell shall not prevail”. And we say “No” to anything that contradicts any Church Teaching.

Life is that simple for Catholics who are blessed to have “the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven”.
