Catholics look closely at Every Word of The Prophets!

Question 1: “Why do Catholics bet our souls on The Prophets?”

Answer: “God gave His Prophets over 300 prophecies about the coming of His Son, The Messiah, to earth. At Christmas, Catholics consider The Prophet Malachi.”

~

Question 2: “What Prophesies did God give Malachi?”

Answer: “Mal 3:1-24 includes God’s Prophesy that came true with John the Baptist. ‘Thus says The Lord God: Lo, I am sending my messenger to prepare the way before Me. . .’

~

Question 3: “What will happen after God’s ‘messenger’ prepares ‘the way’ for The Messiah?”

Answer: “The Messiah will come! ‘And suddenly there will come to The Temple The Lord Whom you seek, and the messenger of The Covenant whom you desire. Yes, he is coming, says The Lord of Hosts.’

~

Question 4: “What happens next?”

Answer: The Prophet Malachi asks two questions! 1. ‘But who will endure the day of His coming?’ and 2. ‘who can stand when He appears’?

~

Question 5: “Those are hard questions! Who can both ‘endure’ and ‘stand before Him when He appears?’

Amswer: “Catholics!”

~

Question 6: “Why can only Catholics ‘endure’ and ‘stand before Him’?

Answer: “Catholics are the most ‘refined’ and ‘cleanest’ people on earth!”

~

Question 7: “What! How do you know that? Is that in The Bible?”

Answer: “Catholics know that we are ‘purified’ by His Sacraments. ‘For he is like the refiner’s fire, or like the fuller’s lye. He will sit refining and purifying silver, and he will purify the sons of Levi, refining them like gold or like silver that they may offer due sacrifice to The Lord. Then the sacrifice of Judah and Jerusalem will please The Lord, as in the days of old, as in years gone by.’

~

Question 8: “One group is specifically ‘purified’. Who are those ‘sons of Levi’?”

Answer: “The ‘purified sons of Levi’ are His Catholic Bishops, priests, and religious!”

~

Question 9: “Is that one reason Catholics call their priests ‘Father’?”

Answer: “‘Lo, I will send you Elijah, the prophet, before the day of the LORD comes, the great and terrible day. . .’” His Mission! ‘To turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, Lest I come and strike the land with doom.’

~

Question 10: “Is there a deeper meaning? If we Catholic ‘children’ do not listen to Catholic Teachings from our ‘Fathers’, will God ‘strike the land with doom.’?”

Answer: “Everyone who looks closely at that will bet their soul on obeying The Prophets and being Catholic!”
