Catholics connect “the sea” and “the millstone” to “the lake of fire”.

.                              This Catholic connection shows that “The Beginning of Wisdom is the fear of The Lord.”

Question 1:  “Jesus sends some souls to hell at His Day of Judgment.   What kind of suffering do they endure?”

Answer:   “Mark 9:42 describes one level of eternal suffering.  ‘Whoever leads one of these little ones who believe in Me astray, it would be better for him if a great millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea.’

~

Question 2:  “If someone leads another to reject Any Word of Jesus, have they ‘led a little one of His astray’?'”

Answer:  “Yes.  Those who keep a neighbor’s soul from the only ‘keys’ to Heaven are condemned to the ‘millstone’!

~

Question 3:  “Where can we find those ‘keys’?

Answer:   “Jesus was very specific about that!  ‘And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  I give you the keys of The Kingdom of Heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in Heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in Heaven.’

~

Question 4:  “Did Jesus leave those ‘keys’ to any Church not led by Successors to Peter?”

Answer:  “Only The Catholic Church has those ‘keys’;  The Seven Catholic Sacraments and the intercession of God’s Holy Saints and Angels.”

~

Question 5:  “What is worse than having a ‘great millstone hung around the neck and being thrown into the sea’“?

Answer:  “Revelation 21:8 is far worse!  ‘But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.’

~

Question 6:  “Does every person given a ‘millstone’ at Judgment sink forever in the ‘sea’ of that awful ‘lake’?”

Answer:  “John 3:36 helps us make the connection.   ‘Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.’
