Catholics consider Two Facts and Three Very Odd Questions!

Recent posts have considered Truths told in The Book of Revelation.   The Book reveals that the earth and sea are going to disappear.  Catholics consider Two Facts and Three Very Odd Questions!   Two things will remain in existence.

1.  First, there will be “The New Jerusalem”.

2.  And, there will be the “lake of fire and sulphur”.  That is where evil-doers will eternally suffer for their willful disobedience.

We know “The New Jerusalem” is there because an angel with a “golden rod” measured it while St. John watched!  “He measured the city with his rod and it was 12,000 furlongs in length and in breadth and equal in height.”

~

We know how big it is!   One furlong is 660 feet long.  We multiply 660 feet by 12,000 furlongs.  It is 7,920,000 feet long on all sides.   Divide that by 5,280 feet.  The Heavenly City is a perfect cube.  It is 1,500 miles long, 1,500 miles wide, and 1,500 miles high!

Each of the six sides of of The Heavenly City is 1,500 x 1,500 miles.  That’s 2,250.000 square miles.  The State of Texas has about 268,597 square miles.  The first floor of The New Jerusalem is almost as big as nine states of Texas!  The lowest level of The City of God is almost the same size as The Roman Empire!

Revelation Chapters 2o and 21 give us Two Facts.

1. “We know that The City of God must be somewhere because it was actually measured as St. John watched!

2. St. John told us which precious stones were used to build The City.”

~

Catholics consider Three Very Odd Questions!

1. “Has The City of God already been built?

2. “Has it been hidden out of our sight?

3. “Where could it be?”

~

An odd answer must be considered.  “It may be hidden within one of the bodies orbiting the sun.  That cube seems too big to fit inside our moon.  But, it could be inside Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, or another planet.  It would fit within Ganymede, Callisto, or Titan.  They are moons of Jupiter and Saturn.”

~

We know one other fact!

We will find those answers!

We will forever see “The City of God” from inside or outside.

God , His Glory, and His obedient “friends” are inside.

What’s outside?   “The lake of fire and sulphur.”  That’s where God’s willfully disobedient enemies spend eternity with “wailing and gnashing of teeth”.
