Catholics know how to cure the worst form of “leprosy”. #13.

Catholics think Clearly!  We know where to find the cure for the worst kind of “leprosy’.

~

Question 1:  “Why does The Bible warn us so often about ‘leprosy’?

Answer:  “‘Leprosy’ was a horribly disfiguring disease.  God’s priests had to identify it to save others from being infected.  Leviticus 13:1-2 explains:

‘The Lord said to Moses and Aaron:  If someone has on his skin a scab or pustule or blotch which appears to be the sore of leprosy, he shall be brought to Aaron, the priest, or to one of the priests among his descendants.  If the man is leprous and unclean, the priest shall declare him unclean by reason of the sore on his head.’

~

Question 2:  “What did those diagnosed with ‘leprosy’ have to do?”

Answer:  “‘The one who bears the sore of leprosy shall keep his garments rent and his head bare, and shall muffle his beard;  he shall cry out, ‘Unclean, unclean!’  As long as the sore is on him he shall declare himself unclean, since he is, in fact, unclean.  He shall dwell apart, making his abode outside the camp.’”

~

Question 3:  “What does ‘leprosy’ symbolize for Catholics?”

Answer:  “Catholics realize that ‘leprosy’ can be identified by doctors and nurses.  That lets us know ‘leprosy’ is a symbol for sins that live in the head’ and not on the head’.  Every disobedience to Any Word of Jesus is a ‘tiny electron of leprosy’ in our mind that will grow and multiply as long as we let it.”

~

Question 4:  “How do Catholics deal with the worst kind of leprosy, ‘sins in the head’?”

Answer:  “Catholics are able to take advantage of The Power that God gave His Catholic priests in John 20:23:  ‘Those whose sins you forgive on earth are forgiven in Heaven.’  Catholics cure the ‘leprosy in our head’ by ‘Confessing’ our sins to a Catholic priest and receiving ‘Absolution’.”

~

Question 5:  “Why are Catholic priests the only people who can cure that ‘leprosy in the head’?”

Answer:  “Catholic priests are Ordained in Living Link with The First Catholic Bishops, The Chosen Disciples of Jesus.  They are directly connected to The Sin-Forgiving Power of God.”

~

Question 6:  “Do The Psalms reflect The Power of Absolution that Catholic priests would be given?”

Answer:  “Psalm 32:5 is clear about the need to confess our sins to a Catholic priest!  ‘Then I declared my sin to You;  my guilt I did not hide.  I said, ‘I confess my transgression to The Lord,’ and You took away the guilt of my sin.’

Catholics are struck with The Power and Wonder of that!  We respond:  ‘I turn to you, Lord, in time of trouble, and You will fill me with The Joy of Salvation!’

~

Question 7:  “What should Catholics do when they receive Absolution after Confessing our sins to a Catholic priest?”

Answer:  “We may do what the ‘leper’ cured by Jesus did in Mark 1:40-45 did!  ‘The man went away and began to publicize the whole matter.  He spread the report abroad so that it was impossible for Jesus to enter a town openly.'”

~

When Catholics have “the leprosy in our head” cured, we don’t brag about it!   We obey The Command that the ‘cured leper’ ignored:  “Jesus said to him,  ‘See that you tell no one anything, .  .  .!”
