Those who love God and their neighbors “choose Life”. Others do not.

Question 1: What are every person’s ‘destinations’ that God revealed to Moses?”
Answer: “Todays Reading includes Dt. 30:15-20. ‘Moses said to the people: ‘Today I have set before you life and prosperity or death and doom.’ Those are the only possible destinations for every person on earth.”

Question: “Did God have Moses tell us how we could avoid ‘death and doom’?”
Answer: “The answer is clear to all who are blessed to Think Clearly! ‘If you obey the commandments of The Lord, your God, which I enjoin on you today, loving Him, and walking in His ways, and keeping His commandments, statutes and decrees, you will live and grow numerous, and The Lord, your God, will bless you in the land you are entering to occupy.’”

Question 3: “What happens if we decide to disobey God’s ‘commandments, statutes, and decrees’?”
Answer: “God’s Word is clear! ‘If, however, you turn away your hearts and will not listen, but are led astray and adore and serve other gods, I tell you now that you will certainly perish; you will not have a long life on the land that you are crossing the Jordan to enter and occupy.’”

Question 4: “Is Moses telling us to be Catholic?”
Answer: “See for yourself! ‘I call heaven and earth today to witness against you:
I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. Choose life, then, that you and your descendants may live, by loving The Lord, your God, heeding His voice, and holding fast to Him. For that will mean life for you . . .’”

Question 5: “Does that mean we should be Catholic?”
Answer: “The Catholic Church was Spoken into Being by This Word of Jesus Christ:
‘And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.’
His One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church has never changed This Teaching about ‘life’: ‘Life must be protected from conception until natural death.’
If we choose to be in a religious group that refuses to choose to follow That Catholic Teaching, we cannot show God we meaningfully ‘Choose life’ for ourselves and our neighbors.”
Jesus also agrees with Moses in His Word from Luke 9:22-25. ‘Then He said to all, ‘If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it.’“

Question 6: “How can we answer The Question Jesus asks about every aspect of ‘life’: ‘What profit is there for one to gain the whole world yet lose or forfeit himself?’
Answer: “St. Paul was one of the first Catholic converts. He tells us exactly who Catholics are in Hebrews 10:39! ‘We are not among those who draw back and perish, but among those who have faith and will possess life.‘
Gaining ‘the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.’ gives us ‘life’, forever. Is there a better reason to most meaningfully‘choose life’ and ‘be Catholic!’?”
