Catholics worry about our Protestant friends.  They do not take Jesus’ teachings seriously enough to obey what they don’t accept.

Protestants do not see the sheer horror that awaits those who willfully disobey.

John 3:36 is clear: “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.”

That is absolutely frightening!  Protestants do believe “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; . . .”  They will repeat, to the point of nausea, “I believe in Jesus and The Bible.  I have eternal life!”

Protestants do not look closely at what follows:  “whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life,”

What does that mean?  It means that merely believing gives “eternal life”, but that those who do not obey “shall not see life.”  Where are they, that they “have eternal life” but “shall not see life”?

The next phrase tells us where their disobedience takes them:  “. . . but the wrath of God remains on him.”

If “the wrath of God remains on him.”, where must they be?

They are suffering the pains of hell.  They have “eternal life”, but their willful disobedience keeps their “eternal life” from Heaven!

Catholics worry about our Protestant friends.  They follow those who tell them that merely “believing” is enough.

All Catholics must do a better job of explaining:  “Obedience is necessary for salvation.  The instruction He gave most often is His clear call to Catholic Communion.  “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.” He repeated that 14 times!”

It is clear.  Jesus orders us to receive His Actual Body and Blood in any Catholic Mass following The Last Supper in The Only Church He Founded.  What happens if we willfully and knowingly choose to disobey His most frequent teaching?  He is clear:  “the wrath of God” remain upon our soul.

There is no rational way around that.  That is why:  Catholics worry about our Protestant friends.
