Evil people plunder their neighbors. The Psalms teach us this lesson: Psalm 10: 1-2 “Why, O LORD, do you stand aloof? Why hide in times of distress? Proudly the wicked harass the afflicted, who are caught in the devices the wicked have contrived.” The response: “Do not forget the poor, O Lord!” The clear implication: “God, do forget the wicked.”
“Proudly the wicked harass the afflicted, who are caught in the devices the wicked have contrived.” In our time, we see clearly that we are being made poorer by “the devices the wicked have contrived”.
When we think of the huge lies that support Babylon as “devices the wicked have contrived”, we see more clearly the danger and that it originates in greed.
Consider just one of the “devices the wicked have contrived, the vast Global Warming fraud. It has been used as an excuse to hire countless regulators in endless agencies. They have used the Imaginary Problem to pass laws, raise prices, and increase profits for favorites. Costs of transportation, heating, cooling, and lighting have all increased. The Global Warming lie is one of “the devices the wicked have contrived”. We are all “caught” in it, one of the “devices the wicked have contrived.’
The huge Global Warming lie has within its vastness thousands of lesser lies that support the greater lie. The lesser lies stem from a desire for gain so great that it replaces love of God and neighbor with love of self.
Entire sectors of government are often transformed into “devices the wicked have contrived”. Bribes from special interests and an urge for salaries, bonuses, benefits, and pensions turn many public servants into plunderers of those they afflict. Tenure, automatic raises, bloated pensions, and excessive benefits all lead their recipients toward the pits of pain.
The division between the damned and the saved is a reflection of the gap between those who afflict us from we who are afflicted.
Why do some choose to hurt their neighbors? They excessively desire programmed entities The Loving Programmer has downloaded in The Creation Program. To get them, they allow pride, greed, and gluttony to overwhelm love of God and neighbor.
We can tell those who afflict us by their lies. Global Warming is one. The manic desire for equality is another. So is “Fairness”. Those who do not worship God follow the corrupting virus that leads many away from Heaven in this life into the next.
We must pray for souls who try to catch us in “devices the wicked have contrived”. Our prayers are their only lifeline.
