The test of time. Protestantism?

Prayer and study have led most Christians to believe that Jesus is The Son of God.  He, alone, fulfilled The Prophecies.  Jesus walked on water, raised the dead, fed the 5,000, cured the sick, drove money-changers from the Temple, said “thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church”, was crucified, died, buried, rose again, and Ascended into Heaven.  That is part of the test of time.

Holy men and women who witnessed and faithfully recorded those things suffered and died painful deaths because they would not say:  “That never happened.”  Church History is written in the blood of the Apostles, The Church Fathers, and the faithful Catholics who passed the test of time.

For five hundred years, Catholics and The Church passed the test of time.  Protestantism in the form of Arian and other heresies were tests.  So was the incredible chaos caused by the collapse of Rome.  Then, after five hundred years, The Only Church Jesus Founded, after having passed the test of time, ruled Christendom for a thousand years.

Then, after “The Thousand Year Reign”, a new test.  Catholics, who had withstood wars, plagues, Moslem attacks, and famines for a thousand years faced a new, and deadlier, foe.  Rapacious rulers realized:  “If we weaken, destroy, or replace The Catholic Church, we take its lands, buildings, and assets.   If The Catholic Church is powerless,  we may make our citizens into our slaves.”

“The Thousand Year Reign” of Revelation 20 ended five hundred years ago, when “the dragon was unchained from the abyss.”  Luther began the test of time for each of us, the test of Catholics by newly Babylonian Governments.

At the release of the dragon, governments attacked.  Luther in Germany, Cranmer in England, Calvin in Switzerland, and Knox in Scotland did the devil’s work by helping Babylon undermine the Church Jesus Founded.  “The Thousand Year Reign” of The Catholic Church over Christendom came to a bloody end.

A million and a half Irish Catholics were starved to death.  Cold-hearted clearances crushed countless Catholics in Scotland.   Tens of thousands of Englishmen and women were killed, simply for being Catholic.   Later, in French and Russian Revolutions, anti-Catholics waged brutal war against The Church, rewarded with lands and tithes.

The test of time continues.  Today, a virtual horde of 43,000 semi-Christian groups are too busy competing than unifying to stop abortion and other evils.

Judgment is coming.  Each person, in every age, must pass the test of time.  Those who most truly believe in Jesus accept the truth of all He taught.   The test of time begins with John 6:53, “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.”   The test of time ends with John 6:66, when those who fail that test abandon Jesus.  The failure to obey may be compounded by insisting “I am a Christian and will be saved, even though I fail Jesus’ very specific test of time.”

No matter how proudly, or humbly, Protestants proclaim their faith, they put earthly concerns ahead of obeying Jesus and receiving His Body and Blood.  That Holy Food has been provided in every Catholic Mass since The Last Supper for those who pass the test of time.

We must pray for the guidance to do a better job explaining that each immortal soul has a better chance of Heaven if it is among those of whom He said “If you obey My commands you are My friends.”

The test of time is a command from our Future Judge:  “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.”

Pray that our dear Protestant friends and families will pass the test of time, by honoring and obeying Jesus in The Only Church He Founded.
