Each life depends on things we cannot see.

Our life depends on things we cannot see.

Most birds fly through the air.  They cannot see the air.  They take a little hop.  They flap their wings.  And, they fly through the air they cannot see!  They defy gravity!

It is amazing to watch!

Birds on the ground focus on worms, bugs, and seeds.  We focus on similar things.  We do not see the air.  We breathe it in and out.   We see and smell atoms and molecules that float in the air.  We see clouds, bugs, and planes.  They are moving through the invisible air.   All are held up by the invisible air.

God made air invisible to us for a reason.   Air is a continual reminder that our life depends on something we cannot see.   2,500 years ago, Democritus theorized that air was made out of invisible atoms “with space between them”.  He was insulted for doing so!

Unlike air, God did become visible.  The Second Person of The Holy Trinity fulfilled Prophecies that predicted His Coming to Earth.  He told all who would meaningfully believe in Him what we must do to have “life in” us.

Jesus repeated one bizarre Teaching 14 times:  “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.”  No one could “see” what He meant.

At The Last Supper, Jesus turned bread and wine into His Body and Blood.  His obedient followers “ate His Body and drank His Blood”.  They had “life in” them”.  Catholics still obey Jesus.

For 2,000 years, many people have not respected Jesus enough to obey Him.  They all say:  “I can’t see that!  So, I don’t believe it!”

Sometimes, they get very upset about Catholic Communion.  They take deep breaths of invisible air to give them the energy to argue about Jesus’ Instruction.
