God uses Angels to help us choose the right “keys”. We are led to ask: Is the Prophet Ezekiel quoting God’s Word to the leader of the disobedient angels? We see the splendor of he who chose the wrong “keys”.
Ezekiel 28:13-15, “Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.”
Ezekiel does seem to be quoting what God said to the most powerful of the fallen angels.

What was the iniquity that polluted Lucifer? We read in verse 17, “Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor.”
Isaiah 14:12 agrees: “How you have fallen from heaven”

God’s Cleansing of Heaven is clear in Rev. 12:4. “And his tail swept away a third of the stars of heaven, and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she gave birth he might devour her child,”
St. John continues along the same line in Revelation 9:1.
“I saw a star that had fallen from heaven onto the earth and he was given the key to the shaft leading down to the Abyss.”

Catholics see God’s Battle Above reflected in our individual battles against sin on earth. There are the same two sets of keys.
One key leads “to the shaft leading down to the Abyss.”
The other set of keys was given to The Only Church Jesus Spoke Into Being with His Word:
“And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”
We pray that all will be obedient enough to obtain the only “keys to The Kingdom of Heaven” by being in The Only Church to Whom God specifically gave those “keys”!
