God’s IQ Test. #125. “How big is my soul? What color is it?”

An important question! “What does Jesus let us see about our soul?

Catholics know: “I have an immortal soul!” We have questions about it.

Question 1. “How big is my soul?”

Answer: “Our soul came into being the moment we were conceived. It fit inside us when we were conceived. At that time, each of us was the size of a grain of salt. That is why many believe that our immortal soul is smaller than ‘a grain of salt’.” That’s smaller than this: .

Question 2: “People are a billion times bigger than a ‘grain of salt’! How could something that tiny control us?

Answer: “A huge ship is controlled by its tiny captain. He is like a ‘grain of salt’ compared to the ship the captain commands.”

Question 3: “What does our soul look like?”

Answer: “Our soul may resemble a ‘living cloud’ that came into being when we were conceived.”

Question 4: “What color is our soul?”

Answer: “That is a Profound Question! The more obedient to God a person is, the less his or her soul is discolored by sin. The soul of a Catholic Saint may be as clear as a perfect diamond!”

Question 5: “Does the color of our soul reflect our sins?”

Answer: “We know that some people are ‘green with envy’. Others may be ‘red with anger’. Each sin adds a different color to the soul. There are seven deadly sins: pride, envy, greed, gluttony, anger, lust, and sloth. English-speaking Catholics easily remember them with the acronym: ‘peggals’.

Spanish-speaking Catholics know those sins as orgullo, envidia, codicia, gula, ira, lujuria, and pereza. They may be remembered as ‘oecgilp’.

Question 6: “What color are the souls of those who commit more than one kind of sin?”

Answer: “Every soul becomes an uglier color as it allows itself to be polluted with different kinds of sins.”

~

Question 7: “How can we get rid of the sins that stain our soul?”

Answer: “Jesus Christ gave His Catholic priests This Power: “Those whose sins you forgive on earth are forgiven in Heaven.”

Question 8: “What more does anyone need to know?”
