. How carefully will I read two Parables from St. Matthew?
God took Human Form on earth. Jesus Christ taught us with parables. Mt 13:31-35 has two.
“Jesus proposed a parable to the crowds. ‘The Kingdom of Heaven is like a mustard seed that a person took and planted in a field. It is the smallest of all the seeds, . . . . It becomes a large tree, and the birds of the sky come and dwell in its branches.'”

Question 1: “Why did He use a “mustard seed“ for this parable?”
Answer: Some ‘mustard seeds’ grow into mustard trees! Each new one produces more ‘mustard seeds’. We see how effective the ‘mustard seed’ Word of God” is! ‘Mustard seeds’ are now growing all over the world.

Question 2: So, there is not just one ‘mustard seed’?”
Answer: “That is right! Every Teaching of Jesus Christ is one “mustard seed”! We who “took” one of His “mustard seeds” may plant it in our own mind. As it grows, our thoughts (“birds”) live in it!

Question 3: “What happens if we do that?”
Answer: We may let each “mustard seed” grow in our mind. We spend more and more time living in that holy “tree”. We plant one of His “mustard seeds” in another mind every time we share a Word from Jesus.

Question 4: “What was the The next “mustard seed” Jesus planted?”
Answer: “Then, He spoke to them another parable. ‘The Kingdom of Heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed with three measures of wheat flour until the whole batch was leavened.’”

Question 5: How does that connect with “mustard seeds”?
Answer: We need about as much “mustard” to add flavor as we need “yeast” to turn “wheat flour” into bread.”

Question 6: “Is that one reason why: ‘All these things Jesus spoke to the crowds in parables. He spoke to them only in parables, to fulfill what had been said through the prophet: ‘I will open my mouth in parables, I will announce what has lain hidden from the foundation of the world.’?”
Answer: Yes! Jesus has told us Catholics what has “lain hidden from the foundation of the world”! That’s why we are in The Only Church Spoken Into Being with His Holy Word! “Thou art Peter, and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
