God’s IQ Test. #98. “Will I let “weed seeds” grow in my mind?”

. “God, my soul is at risk! Please do not let weeds take over my mind!”

The Disciples of Jesus wanted to be sure they understood His Parable of the “weeds”. He explains it in Mt: 13:36-43.

“Jesus dismissed the crowds and went into the house. His disciples approached Him and said, ‘Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field.’”

Question 1: “Is Jesus going to tell us of the two kinds of people on earth?”

Answer: Yes. Each person is either among “weeds” or “wheat”.

Question 2: “How does He identify the two kinds of people?”

Answer: “He said in reply, ‘He who sows good seed is the Son of Man, the field is the world, the good seed the children of the Kingdom.”

Question 3: “Where do the “weeds” come from?”

Answer: “‘The weeds are the children of the Evil One, and the enemy who sows them is the Devil.'”

Question 4: “Did Jesus tell us what His “angels” will do to all of the ‘weeds’?”

Answer: Yes! Jesus explained: “The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels. Just as weeds are collected and burned up with fire, so will it be at the end of the age.”

Question 5: “Does Jesus tell us there two kinds of ‘weeds’?”

Answer: Yes. “The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will collect out of his Kingdom all who cause others to sin and all evildoers.” The worst of the “weeds” are those who “cause others to sin”. The second kind of “weeds” are those who become “evildoers”.

Question 6: “What will happen to those among the two kinds of ‘weeds’?”

Answer: “They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth.”

Question 7. “What happens to ‘the children of The Kingdom’ who obeyed The Teachings of Jesus?

Answer: “Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the Kingdom of their Father.”

Does Jesus tell us that we are each free to obey or to disobey His Words?

Answer: Jesus says it is up to us to be obedient! “Whoever has ears ought to hear.”

Question 8: Is there a greater evil than to lead a person to disobey This Word of Jesus: ‘And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven:’?”

Answer: It is hard to think of a greater sin than to willfully keep another person from having “the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven”.
