The “good thief” was the first Catholic convert!

Some of Protestantism’s sillier objections to Catholic Sacraments focus on the “good thief” who was crucified next to Jesus.   Protestants do not realize:  The “good thief” was the first Catholic convert!  While hanging in agony on his cross, he defended Jesus to the other crucified man who mocked Him.

Jesus promised the “good thief”, “Indeed I promise you” He replied, “Today, you will be with Me in Paradise.”

Those separated from The Only Church Jesus Founded say:  “See!  The Good Thief was not Baptized, and he got to go to Heaven!  That means we don’t have to be Catholic to get to Heaven!”

Catholics are smart enough to “think small”.   We realize:  When the solider thrust his spear into Jesus’ side, water gushed forth.  That water began evaporating as had His perspiration.  Molecules of that holy water  drifted onto the “Good Thief”.  That, “the holiest of holy water”,  baptized the “good thief” after his declaration of faith in Jesus.

Intelligent Catholics continue to “think small”.   We realize that the “good thief” was not only Baptized, but also, He had Confessed his great belief in God.

Catholics keep thinking small!  We further realize that trillions of Holy Molecules of Jesus’ Holy Blood were dripping from His scourged and pierced Body.  Many of those “Holy Molecules” were wafted through the air.  The “good thief” was breathing in agony through his nose and mouth as he tried to draw labored breath.  He swallowed repeatedly, receiving those “Holy Molecules” from The Highest Priest of all.

The “good thief” received The Sacraments of Baptism, Confession, and Absolution directly from Jesus.  Then, by the Holy Molecules drifting through the air, the “good thief” became the first person after The Last Supper to receive Catholic Communion and “have life in” him.

The “good thief” could not help but have received those Catholic Sacraments.   It is something to share with those who think they don’t need to be in The Only Church Jesus Founded to get to Heaven.
