How little time we have

It is hard to stop taking addictive narcotics. It’s difficult to stay away from drugs like serotonin that we produce in our minds when gambling, or buying and selling, or involved in dangerous activities.

It is also hard to break mental habits with which we’ve grown comfortable. Most of us are used to thinking with the long time spans we hear so much about. We think it’s a sign of education and intelligence to nod wisely and say, “The earth is ten or twenty billion years old.” when the subject arises. It keeps us from realizing how little time we have to save our souls.

Those sort of “facts” fit like an old shoe. Giving up the idea that we have plenty of time is like knocking down the keystone of an arch. A lot of other comfortable “facts” fall down along with it. What’s amazing is how our priorities change as we realize how little time we have.

Saying to oneself “God has the ability to program three dimensional particles.” is a first step toward freedom from conventional reality. Once we see that The Loving Programmer and His angelic sub-programmers could program and compile particles for all the systems and beings in The Creation Program in six very busy days, Catholic Fundamentalism begins to make more sense than anything else. It shows how little time God needed to write and download the huge, long-running movie that is The Creation Program.

And, it shows how little time we have to save our souls.

Under the “books” section of this web site, there’s a free download of “New Road to Rome”. It’s a book in three parts. One covers the creation of space and what’s in it. Another explains time. The other reduces the basics of human history to a greater understanding.

It’s all in a couple of hundred pages. Take a look at this New Road to Rome. It’s free. Download at the top of the page, under Our Books. It gives a good idea of how little time we have on our hands.
