If enough Catholics cry for help, God will send Gideon.

Is it time to ask God to send Gideon?  In his day, God’s chosen people, faithful Christians of the time, had sinned.  They worshiped strange gods.  They sacrificed their tiny babies in the oak groves and temples of baal.  God was enraged.  Today, in our nation, alone, we abort thousands of babies every day.  His anger grows as more people cease to believe and obey.

To punish His chosen people for disobedience, He gave them over to the Midianites.  We can learn a lot about our coming fate from Judges 6: 1-6

Abraham died.  His hatred was passed to many of those same people who want to destroy us, today.  We see what those who hate us do to the lands and disobedient peoples when God has them act as His scourge:

If enough of us return to obedience to His Church, God’s protection will return to us.  If enough Catholics cry for help, God will send Gideon.  A Gideon will be raised, to whom God will say as He did to the Gideon in Judges, 6:16:

Most of us would prefer that He simply encourage the Midianites to love their neighbors.
