It is best to be Catholic.

John 12: 24-16 tells us:  It is best to be Catholic.  “Jesus said to his disciples:  ‘Amen, amen, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains just a grain of wheat;  but if it dies, it produces much fruit.”

We cannot produce fruit until we stop obsessing about ourselves.  When we die to self, we no longer wave in the breeze atop our little stalk of wheat with the other grains of wheat.  All Christians know that.

‘Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will preserve it for eternal life.’   All Christians know that, too.

Catholics heed His next words:   ‘Whoever serves Me must follow Me, and where I am, there also will My servant be.  Jesus said we cannot  “serve” without being where He is.  We cannot serve two masters.  We cannot “serve” Him by being in a denomination that does not clearly condemn abortion-inducing birth control.  Those who tolerate the infliction of death on our most helpless neighbors do not “serve” Him.  They “serve” themselves!

Catholics “die” enough to give up the vanity of believing that we can get around any of His teachings and still get to Heaven.  There is no other way to “serve” than to obey.   To truly “die”, we must “die” enough to be in The Only Church He Founded:

“Verily, verily I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

Catholics have access to the only “keys to The Kingdom of Heaven”.  They are The Sacraments He provided.

Only by being Catholic do we “die” enough to obey:  “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.”  We receive His Actual Body and Blood in every Catholic Mass following The Last Supper.

By being obedient, we “serve” Him.  The reward He promises His “servants” is clear:

“The Father will honor whoever serves Me.”

It is best to be Catholic.
