How Jesus drove the first Protestants away:

How Jesus drove the first Protestants away:   After He repeated His Great Winnowing Command for the 12th time:

“If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.”, the first Protestants left Him.    His words were offensive, especially to those who obeyed Jewish Dietary Laws.   All but His most faithful followers said:  “This is hard!”  and walked away in John 6:66.

Jesus could have called after them:  “I am speaking symbolically.” and they would have returned, eager for His explanation.  He did not make any excuse for them to return.

Catholics understand that Jesus intentionally separated His Obedient Sheep from their “We-don’t-have-to-listen-to-Jesus-if-we-don’t-want-to.” counterparts, the willful goats.

In every generation, His Great Winnowing Command separates His obedient sheep from those who refuse to respect and obey His instruction.  They become ordinary Protestants.

Virulent Protestants are represented by Judas.  Those who actually hated Jesus tried to kill Him.  In following ages, the hateful work to kill The Body of Christ on Earth;  The Only Church Jesus Decreed Into Being when He said one time, to one man:

“. . I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

Greedy men in the 1500s organized around their common hatred for The Only Church Jesus Founded.  “Let’s kill The Body of Christ on Earth and steal Catholic assets!”  They hired vain, venal men who lusted for  fame, fortune, and sex:

“We’ll pay you to invent excuses why The Catholic Church is bad.  We need to justify stealing millions of acres used for Catholic Monasteries, Churches, Convents, Schools, Orphanages, and Accommodations for the Poor.”

Indulgences, and other Catholic Teachings, were quickly demonized.  Camouflaged by “theological reasons,” greedy men stole millions of acres of Catholic properties across Europe.

Today, those who hate Jesus still attack The Only Church He Decreed Into Being.
