Jesus says to all: “Be Catholic”.

Those who believe and obey Jesus become Catholics. There is no choice.

Consider Today’s Reading, from John 15: 9-17

“Jesus said to his disciples: “As the Father loves Me, so I also love you. Remain in my love. If you keep My commandments, you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love. I have told you this so that My joy might be in you and your joy might be complete. This is My commandment: love one another as I love you. No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are My friends if you do what I command you.

Few things could be clearer: Obey Jesus and you are His friend. Disobey Jesus and you are not. Most of those who consider themselves “Christian” consider their own belief and obedience to be sufficient. Such vain delusions are prompted by the demons of pride assaulting minds weakened by vanity.

Most who consider themselves to be Christians agree with Jesus. “You are My friends if you do what I command you.”

The difficult thinking begins when we connect John 15: 9-17 with John 6: 53. “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.” The only way to obey that command from Him is to receive Catholic Communion. There are two “dots” to connect. If we are to be obedient and saved, “You are My friends if you do what I command you.” must be followed by obeying “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.”

Many resist connecting those two dots. They are vain and excessively attached to human relationships within over 40,000 separate schisms, each founded by a vain ego-maniac. So, they disobey Jesus. Thus does The Only Church He Founded separate obedient sheep from vain goats in every generation.

The delusion that causes the separation is the belief they can be His friends when they willfully disobey two of His commands. First, they choose to not take the necessary steps to eat His Body and drink His Blood in Catholic Communion. The second disobedience follows automatically when they choose to ignore, “You are My friends if you do what I command you.” That reduces Him from God to man, disobeying The First Commandment.

That initial short-circuiting is followed by excuses to justify ignoring both of Jesus’ commands. That process separates their hearts and minds from His clear commands even as they wander farther into hair-splitting, quibbling, and schism. They would be saved if they would simply believe and obey. It is preferable to remember and heed. Jesus says to all: “Be Catholic”.

Those whom He has blessed with direct and honest natures “connect the dots”. We join ourselves to Jesus by obeying Him and the teachings of The Only Church He Founded.

Vain and foolish people choose to disobey and disbelieve. They connect themselves to something less. Then, .
