Mary answered This Prayer about a Hard Question! #1

. St. Mary and St. Faustina together answer one of The Hardest Questions that can come into our minds.

~

Question 1: “What was The Hard Question that St. Mary and St. Faustina answered for you?”

Answer: “I was completely puzzled about The Difference between our ‘soul’ and our human ‘spirit’. What is the actual difference between the ‘soul’ and ‘spirit’?”

~

Question 2: “What did Mary do?”

Answer: “Mary led me to This Prayer, The Memorae!

‘Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession, was left unaided.

Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful.

O Mother of The Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.

Amen.’

Question 3: “Did Mary explain the difference between the human ‘soul’ and ‘spirit’?

Answer: “Yes! I found that Mary had explained the difference in Luke 1:46-47. ‘My soul proclaims the greatness of The Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, . .’

Question 4: “What is the difference?”

Answer: “Our soul is the part of us that ‘magnifies’, ‘proclaims’ or ‘glorifies’ God by our obedience to Him. St. Faustina (Notebook 1, #424) was told by Jesus that the souls of some Catholic priests and religious in Heaven are literally ‘as big as the moon’.

In the same passage, Jesus told St. Faustina that the souls of us regular Catholic were the size of ‘stars in the sky’.”

~

Question 5: “Does the size of our soul reflect our love for obeying God?”

Answer: “I was blessed to finally understand that our soul IS a living being that reflects our love of obeying God!”

~

Question 6: “How big are the souls of those who avoid loving God enough to obey His Every Word?”

Answer: “For all practical purposes, willfully disobedient people don’t have ‘souls’.”

~

“Question 7: “What?”

Answer: “Their spirits gallop around in their brains like wild horses without riders! They go ‘rejoicing’ about one thing after another. They avoid Thinking Clearly about loving The Totality of God meaningfully enough to create themselves A Soul Who Is Living Obedience to Every Teaching of God.

May willfully disobedient people be blessed to create themselves an immortal, shining soul that glows with obedience to God.”
