Never Vote for Faddists

A few years ago, the gun control fad had reached it’s high. Every big-city mayor, Democratic governors, and the liberals throughout the Federal Government agreed: guns must be controlled, if not confiscated.

More recently, the drive for gun control misfired. Now, a sizable majority of Americans understand that owning firearms offers protection. Public opinion on the subject has shifted so profoundly that few Democrats, outside large cities where minority crimes must be blamed on anything other than those who commit them, run on the issue of more gun control.

Their sudden silence on the subject masks the deep drive that still makes them want to get rid of private firearms. Those who support the 2nd Amendment know this, and remember.

We should also remember politicians’ politicians on Global Warming/Freezing. They don’t talk about it now, since most voters with three-digit IQs realize it’s a fraud. The kind of people who supported any of the various climate frauds are the kind of people always like the idea of using phony issues to raise taxes. They want campaign contributions from those who understand why such concerns magically arise and how they can personally profit from them.

As soon as any would-be elected official announces his or her candidacy for public office, it’s easy to research his or her background on gun control, phony environmental issues, increasing taxes, and any actual spending reductions being proposed.

Those who supported fads in the past should not be supported in the future. As yesterday’s column pointed out, we only need 275 people in national office to reduce spending, guarantee freedom, and make what’s best for all more important than funding special interests.
