Our Catholic Duty: Helping Willful Protestants.

The world is filled with reasons to NOT be as Catholic as we can.

The world is filled with reasons to NOT be as Catholic as we can.

Question 1:  “What is a ‘Willful Protestant’?”

Answer:  “A person who chooses to avoid The Church-Creating Word of Jesus Christ to His First Catholic Pope:  ‘And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.’

~

Question 2:  “Why is it a ‘Catholic Duty’ to help Willful Protestants?”

Answer:  “Many of us went through periods when we were ‘Willful Protestants’.  Then, we made an amazing discovery!”

~

Question 3: “What ‘amazing discovery’ did we make?”

Answer:  “We discovered This Simple Fact:  ‘I disagreed with Jesus because I thought I knew more than He did.'”

~

Question 4: “What would lead anyone to believe something so ridiculous?”

Answer:  “We may use a description of St. Paul in Galatians 3:1-3 to describe the thinking of all who ‘begin in the spirit and end in the flesh’.  He describes such beliefs two times as being ‘stupid’.”

~

Question 5:  “Why does St. Paul use such a strong word as ‘stupid’ to describe  putting personal opinions ‘before’ Actual Words of Jesus?”

Answer:  “He could think of no better word than ‘stupid’ to describe beliefs that led people to reject  ‘the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven’ that Jesus Christ died to leave His First Catholic Pope.”

~

Question 6:  “What other Word of Jesus do Willful Protestants reject?”

Answer:  “They reject full obedience to The Call to Catholic Communion Jesus repeated 12 times in John 6 and two more times at The Last Supper, ‘If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.'”

~

Question 7:  “Why do Willful Protestants reject that ‘Life-giving Word’ of Jesus?”

Answer:  “They do not believe in a God Who could give His Catholic priests The Power to Preside over The Miracle of Transubstantiation and change bread and wine into The Body and Blood of Jesus.”

~

Question 8:  “Why don’t Willful Protestants believe in a God Who loves His ‘obedient friends’ enough to give them ‘life’ on earth that will let them get ‘the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven’?”

Answer:  “Many Willful Protestants reject that ‘life’ because we Catholics don’t spend enough effort encouraging them to do whatever is necessary to obtain the most important thing on earth, ‘the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven’.”

May we all be blessed to work harder to share this Saving Grace:  “Be as Catholic as we can.”
