One of William Shakespeare’s most popular plays is “Hamlet”. In Act 2, Scene 2, Polonius asked Hamlet a profound question!

“What do you read, my lord?”

Hamlet answered: “Words, words, words.”

When we read The Bible, we read “words, words, words”!

Many are blessed to understand! We are reading “Words” of God!

Catholics know that Every Word of God is a Teaching.

Every Teaching of God is an Instruction.

Every Instruction from God gives us two choices. We either obey or we disobey! Catholics are blessed to know: “Every Word of God is an Instruction that I must see as a ‘Command’.”

Those who strive to obey Every Command from God are blessed! We may be able to go to The Judgment of God and be among this group: “You are My friends if you obey My commands.”

~

We take three steps to be among His obedient “friends”.

1. We understand that Jesus Christ Fulfilled The Prophecies!

2. Logic lets us realize that Jesus Christ is The Second Person of The Holy Trinity.

3. We apply that understanding to our decisions.

The Catholic Conclusion! “I should strive to obey Every Teaching of God with every decision I make.”

(It is important to “believe” in Jesus. But! Jesus never said: “You are My friends if you believe in Me.”

We do not forget! He Who Fulfilled The Prophecies actually told us of the only people He would let into Heaven! “You are My friends if you obey My commands.”)

Catholics gratefully obey This Word/Teaching/Instruction/Command from Jesus Christ!

“And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

~

Catholics pray: “God! Please do not let any evil spirit lead me to disobey Any Teaching given by He Who will Judge my immortal soul!”

We want to be forever among His obedient “friends”. That’s why we are Catholic! That is why we strive to obey all of His “Words, Words, Words.”!
