Prayers for Rain Answered

Earlier in the week, local farmers who’d missed a month of rain were afraid they may lose their crops. Planted late because of a too-rainy May, June was an agricultural disaster. Today, it’s raining the kind of soft, gentle rain that even urban Americans recognize as a “good rain”.

There is a deep and abiding awareness of how vitally important this rain is that’s accompanied by a realization of its source. Even farmers who never darken the door of a church are saying “Thank God!” as His blessings are showered on all.
