Smart Catholics think small.

Smart Catholics think small.  We consider the trillions of neural connections in our brain.  We sense tiny sparks that race through our mind as we seek answers.

Those little sparks are like Pony Express riders, racing information from one place to another.   We think about the Planet Pluto.  We think about our hair.  We wonder what we’ll have for dinner.  Sometimes, we think about our mattress.

Guardian angels, tiny electrons among the massive molecules, guide our thoughts, words, and deeds toward loving God and our neighbors.

Dark, destroying demons of pride, envy, greed, gluttony, anger, lust, and sloth divert our thoughts, words, and deeds away from loving God and our neighbors.

Just as a pool ball is deflected by a tiny pebble on the table, sin turns us from God, spinning souls off towards dark holes.  Smart Catholics “think small”, and sense the tininess of angels, demons, and souls.   Millions may dance on the head of a pin.

The darker it is, the better we see the sparks in our mind.   Like stars, we cannot see them in the daytime.

Where do the souls of those whose innocent lives are taken go?  Revelation 6:9-11 tells us.  “And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held.”
Billions of souls, including those of billions of pinhead-sized babies killed by abortion-inducing birth control pills because of “the testimony which they held” for life, are all there.

How do they spend their time?

Smart Catholics think small.  We think of those souls, each as big as our own.  We are led to live so that we are not among those for whom precious souls cry “Vengeance!”
