Soon, our soul will be all we have.

Judgment is coming. Mt. 13:47-53 tells us:
Jesus said to the disciples: “The Kingdom of heaven is like a net thrown into the sea, which collects fish of every kind. When it is full they haul it ashore and sit down to put what is good into buckets. What is bad they throw away. Thus it will be at the end of the age. The angels will go out and separate the wicked from the righteous and throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth.”
The passage clearly tells us that His angels are able to distinguish “good souls” from “bad souls”. What is the discernible difference between “good” and “bad” souls. Do souls have different colors? Different sizes? Different electronic charges? Do “bad souls” stink?

We want to know, if we’re smart. we don’t want to be among those souls thrown “into the fiery furnace”. So, what can we do here, on earth, to be sure that our souls are among those valued and allowed into Heaven? It’s important. Soon, our soul will be all we have.

First of all, are we baptized “In the Name of The Father and of The Son and of The Holy Spirit”? Such a soul is freed from Original Sin by the power of God. Until it is shriveled by sin, it is saved.

If that soul is damaged by sin, can it be restored? Yes. Jesus began One Church where forgiveness may be provided. Forgiveness restores a soul to the necessary cleanliness. Mt 16: 18-20 tells us all we need to know: “And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. [19] And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose upon earth, it shall be loosed also in heaven.”

So, in two sentences, Jesus tells us that He is Founding One Church, with one leader. He clearly gave it the power to forgive (“loose”) sins on earth and have them forgiven (“loosed”) in Heaven. Who was given the Keys to Heaven? Peter and The Church Jesus Founded. What does that tell us? When our soul is stained or shriveled by sin, we may be forgiven by an ordained Catholic priest in a living link with Jesus and Peter. It’s important to take advantage of the opportunities Jesus provided. Soon, our soul will be all we have.

The promised Keys to Heaven will open the door for souls who believed in, and obeyed, The Only Church He Founded.

AS we align ourselves with that truth, we are able to break through walls of vanity and realize: All other churches were begun by vain men,for political purposes or for personal vanity.

That’s the way it is. We must hope so desperately that our souls are good enough “to be put into buckets” that we put our thoughts, words, and deeds in accord with our Savior. We must get our own soul ready.

Soon, our soul will be all we have.
