Taxes and trees.

Today, fifty percent of our income is taken from us to pay taxes. We can see how dangerous that is by considering the Interstate Highway System.

Taxes were raised to spend billions of dollars on Interstate Highways. Now, the highways are all built. Taxes have not gone down.

Before the Interstate Highways were built, taxes were raised for WWII and Korea. Those taxes have not gone down.

Locally, taxes were raised to build schools. After the schools were built and the bonds paid off, local taxes did not go down.

Taxes never go down.

In nature, sometimes trees do not have enough water, food, or shelter. It’s limbs and leaves become a burden. Often, a tree will have a disease in a limb that spreads to the trunk. It is rare for the trees to drop off the limb or limbs that may be killing it. More often, the whole tree dies and falls over.

It is a rare government that is smarter than a tree.
