One Disciple is the “rock” who “walked on water”!

People know about The Miracles of Jesus. In One Miracle of Jesus, The Bible tells us that He “walked on water”.

Catholics ask: “How did He do that?”

We consider possibilities.

1. Jesus could suspend the Law of Gravity.

Or

2. An “invisible rope” from Heaven held Him up. Catholics think that “invisible rope” is “God’s Power on Earth”.

~

It appears on earth as an invisible energy that is stronger than gravity.

One thing is clear!

A boatload of witnesses watched as He Who Fulfilled The Prophecies “walked on water.” We know they were trustworthy! Their martyrdom proved they loved truth more than earthly concerns!

~

St. Peter saw Him and thought, “I can do that, too!” He was the only Disciple who dared to get out of the man-made boat!

He successfully took a few steps on the water. He began to sink the moment he realized he was going against everything he knew.

His own thinking sank him! He did not immediately sink. His faith kept him above water intil Jesus pulled him up and took him to the boat. The Catholic Church is still called “The Bark (Barque) of Peter”!

~

We all “sink” when we move away from Teachings of Jesus Christ. Catholics are blessed to obey This Teaching of Jesus Christ!

“And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

Who is St. Peter? One Disciple is the “rock” who “walked on water”! That is why he, and his Successors, were put in charge of The Only Church Founded by Jesus Christ.

~

When Catholics see our soul start to sink, we pray harder! We know “the gates of hell” cannot “prevail” over us as long as we have “the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven”!

For 2,000 years, Catholic Teaching, with the help of Jesus Christ, has not let any sort of gravity “prevail against” it.

Catholics know! We “walk on water” every time we worthily receive The Body and Blood of Jesus Christ in Catholic Communion!
