The embarrassment of Protestantism.

The picture’s caption:  The embarrassment of Protestantism.

The Protestant clergypersons in the picture are members of Protestant denominations.  They are publicly proclaiming that abortion is not merely “all right”, but desirable.  The embarrassment of Protestantism.

They are dressed in the Catholic-like vestments of Mainline Denominations.  Their personal Doctrine is clear:   “Jesus wants you to kill your unborn baby if that’s what you want.”

Most Protestants are against abortion.  But, their denominations don’t have the discipline to demand Pro-life positions.

How do Pro-life Protestants justify giving money to such denominations?  Pro-life Protestants realize in their hearts:  “Some of the money I give to to my church supports Anti-life clergypersons and activities.   The Bible is clear.  ‘

The problem is clear:  Giving money to denominations that pass some of it on to Pro-abortionists show where their heart is:  it is in compromise with unspeakable evil.  “I must go along with them because . . .”

Many just stop going to church.  Others are drawn to other denominations.

As they consider other denominations, many Protestants realize:  “My old denomination used to be firmly Pro-life.  Then, under media pressure, it became ‘Pro-choice’.  There was no consistency.”

When that truth becomes clear, some are blessed to realize:  “Protestant churches often change doctrines and teachings.  It is very upsetting.   Should I leave the confusing, competing, conflicting congregations for Catholicism?”

Some do, and realize:

“I never thought I would be Catholic.  It’s a great relief The Church doesn’t change with the passing fads.  It’s a greater relief to know that my donations are not going to any Pro-abortion people or activities.  Looking back, I don’t know if I could have gotten into Heaven for knowingly supporting people who claimed to be ‘Christian’ while they supported abortion.”
