Protestant love St. John 3:16-21:

“God so loved the world that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life.”

Protestants love reading:

“Whoever believes in him will not be condemned . . “

He tells us what happens to those who do not believe:  “but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the only-begotten Son of God.”

Clearly, Protestants are right to “believe”!

~There is more!~

Then, St. John tells us we must do more than “believe”.  He tells us of the coming Judgment!   He tells us about the coming “verdict”!

“And this is the verdict, that the light came into the world, but people preferred darkness to light, because their works were evil.”

We see the word “works”!  No Protestant want to understand:  our “verdict” depends on our “works”!

He tells us how important our “works” are!

“For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come toward the light, so that his works might not be exposed.”

Protestants do not come close enough to “the light” to do the “work” of obeying This Word of Jesus!

“And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

Protestants do not believe That Word of Jesus!   That disobedience shows in their “works”.

The “works” of Protestantism are visible.  They rejected Catholic Teachings.  They now allow easy divorces and remarriages.

Among their “works”?  Countless families have been destroyed.

~

Other “works” of Protestantism are “exposed”.  They no longer provide This Catholic Teaching:  “Life must be protected from conception until natural death.”

Billions of unborn children have been destroyed by abortion, pills, and implants.

~

Catholics work to obey Catholic Teachings.  We are among:

“But whoever lives the truth comes to the light, so that his works may be clearly seen as done in God.”

Catholics move up from merely “believing”.  We have “works”!  Our “works may be clearly seen as done in God.”

We pray that our “verdict” will be:  “You are My friends if you obey My commands.”

The Protestant Mistake:  Belief without obedience.
