The Soul Hound. A Fairy Tale hated by Lower-level Protestants.

Once upon a time, a great Kingdom was invaded by a Tribe of Haters. They spent generations attacking the families, villages, towns, cities and institutions of the nation.

A King finally led his people to victory against the Haters.

When the last battle had been won, he took a trip around the nation. There were many unhappy people. “What’s wrong?”

No one seemed to know. “We have won the war, but many are not happy.”

~

The King came to the water’s edge. A small island was near the shore. A wisp of smoke drifted up from a tiny hut. “Who lives there?”

A local resident replied: “A Holy Sister, Your Majesty. She prays all day long.”

“Bring her to me. Maybe she knows why so many people are so unhappy.”

~

The King said to the Holy Sister: “We have won the war against the Haters. Why are so many people unhappy?”

“Your Majesty, the Haters twisted and perverted the ancient Faith of our Fathers. Generations of their children were never Baptized. Their poor minds are confused by Original Sin. Confusion causes anger. Anger leads many of our people to hate Truth.”

“What can we do?”

The Holy Sister explained: “We must find the un-Baptized. We must wash the confusion of Original Sin away.”

“How do we find and Baptize these confused, unhappy people?”

~

The Holy Sister knew. “I have two possessions. I have a Bible. And, I have my beloved dog, my Soul-Hound. When an Angel wants to speak with me at night, my Soul-Hound knows. He wakes me up. He can tell the presence of a good spirit. My Soul-Hound can sniff out those who need to be Baptized.”

“Holy Sister, will you bring your Soul-Hound and your Bible? My Royal Escort will take you all over the Kingdom. You can find those the Haters kept from being Baptized. They may find happiness.”

~

The Holy Sister and her Soul-Hound went throughout The Kingdom. The angry and confused were filled with Love of Truth.

They lived happily, ever after.
