Today’s Reading, Mt 10:24-33, is about vanity leading souls away from The Church Jesus Founded.

Jesus said to his Apostles: “No disciple is above his teacher, no slave above his master. It is enough for the disciple that he become like his teacher, for the slave that he become like his master.”

The vain nature of Pastors Bob prompts them to ignore His clear words about The Only Church He Founded:   “I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you The Keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

The vain nature of Pastors Bob leads them to think they can make their own “Keys to The Kingdom of Heaven” in some little basement workshop of their own.

“If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more those of his household!”  refers to the Pastors Bob insist that The Pope, the Successor to Peter, and the Vicar of Christ on Earth is the “devil”.

Jesus warns us, “Therefore do not be afraid of them. Nothing is concealed that will not be revealed, nor secret that will not be known. What I say to you in the darkness, speak in the light; what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops.”

Again, He warns us not to be afraid: “And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather, be afraid of the one who can destroy both soul and body in Gehenna. Are not two sparrows sold for a small coin? Yet not one of them falls to the ground without your Father’s knowledge.”

Then, Jesus tells us, yet again, not to fear. “Even all the hairs of your head are counted. So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.”

Jesus concludes by telling us what happens to those who follow the Pastors Bob instead of The Only Church He Founded: “Everyone who acknowledges me before others I will acknowledge before my heavenly Father. But whoever denies Me before others, I will deny before my heavenly Father.”

Catholics take His warning seriously:  “But whoever denies Me before others, I will deny before My Heavenly Father.”
