Many Protestants announce with great satisfaction: “I don’t need to be Catholic. The word “Catholic” is not in The Bible.”

That is a popular justification for believing that Jesus was wrong when He Decreed to one man, one time:

“And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

The word “Catholic” does not appear. What does appear? “My Church”, singular! “Church” is not “Churches“, justifying any of the 45,000 Protestant denominations.

“Church” is followed by Jesus’ solemn promise that The Teachings of The Only Church He Founded will never be overcome by error.

Protestants avoid something else in that passage. “I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

Jesus could have reappeared any time He wanted. He could have publicly given “the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven” to any of the 45,000 men who invented the many Protestant denominations.

Jesus did not give “the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven” to a single Protestant! His silence tells us all we need to know about His endorsement of 45,000 Protestant denominations.

The word “Catholic” is not The Bible. Why? It keeps out those too vain to obey Jesus. They will not let themselves understand that Successors to Peter have been leading The Only Church Jesus Founded for 2,000 years!

All who value vanity more than logic seek excuses to justify disobeying Catholic Teachings. “The word ‘Catholic’ is not in The Bible.” is merely an excuse to disobey Jesus.

There is an awful cost for disobeying Jesus. The willfully disobedient are not allowed to be among those in Heaven. The only people there are among:

“You are My friends if you obey My commands.”

The disobedient miss a lot.
