There are differences between Catholics and Protestants.

1.  Catholics believe there is One Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church.  Protestants prefer one or more of the  45,000 Protestant Marketing Plans that have become 45,000 Protestant Denominations.

2.  Catholics believe that Jesus is always right.  Protestants believe that Jesus is sometimes right.

3.  Catholics obey The Actual Word with Which Jesus Spoke The Catholic Church Into Being:  “And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”  Protestants do not obey.  They believe that Jesus was either wrong or unable to speak clearly.

4.  Catholics obey The Clear Call to Catholic Communion that Jesus repeated 14 times.  “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.”  Protestants think Jesus could not have The Power to have His Catholic priests preside over The Miracle of Transubstantiation at every Catholic Mass for 2,000 years.

(In fairness to Protestants,  it is hard to believe that Jesus has that much Power!)

5.  Catholics believe that Jesus was Truthful when He gave His Catholic priests this power:  “Those whose sins you forgive on earth are forgiven in Heaven.”  Some Protestants believe that Jesus lacked The Power to give His priests that Authority.  Other Protestants think that Jesus was simply wrong.

6.  Catholics believe that Jesus told us of the only people whose souls He will allow into Heaven.  “You are My friends if you obey My commands.”  Protestants disagree.  They believe:  “I am a good person.  Jesus has to let me into Heaven!”

What causes the great difference between Catholic and Protestant beliefs?

Catholics know that we must obey Jesus.  Protestants think they can change or avoid any inconvenient Church Teachings and still get into Heaven.

Willful, knowing disobedience to Jesus is an insult to Him.

The Words of Jesus are His Words.  His Words are clear enough to separate His obedient “friends” from those who think that merely saying “I believe!” is enough.
