What is the key to “the bottomless pit”? Willful disobedience.

God threw the disobedient angels out of Heaven. Rev 12:4 “And his tail swept away a third of the stars of heaven, and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she gave birth he might devour her child,”

The leader of the fallen angels was trying hard to “devour” Jesus.

Disobedient angels had been evicted from Heaven! Disobedient angels became every kind of God-hating sin on earth. They became the spirits that haunt us all: pride, envy, greed, gluttony, anger, lust, and sloth.

Their eviction was a celestial version of Adam and Eve being thrown out of The Garden for their willful disobedience.

Hordes of angry angels fell to earth. They were committed to attacking God and all who loved Him.

Jesus confirmed their fall. Luke 10:18: “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.”

The fallen angels knew The Prophecies. They knew that God planned to take human form.

Demons haunted The House of David. The Power of God kept His House safe for a thousand years. More than anyone, Mary and Her Family were besieged by every evil spirit. And, Jesus was helpless! He was no bigger than a grain of salt! He was at the Mercy of His Mother. All the powers of hell could not lead His Blessed Mother to do anything but to love Him.

Luke 1: 28-38 is Mary’s Miraculous Message from God through Gabriel: “Hail (Mary) full of grace. The Lord is with you.”

Gabriel outlined what God had in mind for Her: “the angel said to her, ‘Mary, do not be afraid; you have won God’s favor. Look! You are to conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you must name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his ancestor David; He will rule over the House of Jacob for ever and his reign will have no end.’

Mary said to the angel, ‘But how can this come about, since I have no knowledge of man?’

The angel answered, ‘The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will cover you with its shadow. And so the child will be holy and will be called Son of God.

And I tell you this too: your cousin Elizabeth also, in her old age, has conceived a son, and she whom people called barren is now in her sixth month, for nothing is impossible to God.’

Mary said, ‘You see before you the Lord’s servant, let it happen to me as you have said.’ And the angel left her.”

Every person on earth has two choices.

We may obey Jesus and His Only Church-Founding Decree:

“And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

Or, we may choose to disobey.

Where must all willfully disobedient people and angels spend eternity? God told us the only thing their “key” could access:

“I saw a star from heaven which had fallen to the earth; and the key of the bottomless pit was given to him,” (Revelation 9:1).

He who had “the key of the bottomless pit” could not destroy Mary, Joseph, and the Baby Jesus. They, and every obedient Catholic to follow, had the only “keys to The Kingdom of Heaven!” that Jesus left on earth!

Is there a better reason to be in The Only Church Jesus Decreed Into Being?
