We should obey His instructions.

Many people pay more attention to tire makers than to Jesus. Who is insane enough to say “The tire maker doesn’t know what he’s talking about. I’m putting thirty pounds of air in three tires and fifteen in the fourth.” None of us are that irrational. All of us know that ignoring one part of one instruction can kill us.

So, what do we call it when people ignore some of the commands Jesus gave us? The Son of God gave us clear instructions on getting into Heaven. The vain don’t like to be told a basic truth: We should obey His instructions.

Consider the clarity of commands that semi-believers ignore: John 6: 53 is clear: “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.” He is telling people in every age that they must receive Catholic Communion. Imitation versions of communion do exist in many schisms. They cannot actually change bread and wine into His Body and Blood. The only people on earth who can do that are those ordained in a living link with the Apostles ordained by Jesus.

Jesus provides instructions as to which church that is. We should obey His instructions.

Jesus tells us with extraordinary clarity in Matthew 16: 18-20 where His Holy Food necessary that is necessary for life is found: “And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose upon earth, it shall be loosed also in heaven.”
So, two clear instructions. Semi-believers ignore them. Some produce counterfeit versions, which may be worse.

Jesus repeatedly divides humanity into two groups. Sheep and goats. Wheat and weeds. Good fish and bad. If that is not clear enough for the stubborn and self-willed, He further divides all human beings into two groups. John 15:14 is as clear as it is possible to be. “You are My friends if you obey My commands.” That is the biggest “if” in The Creation Program.

If we are obedient, Jesus says we are “His friends”. If we intentionally ignore His commands, which include those listed above, will we be the opposite?

Why take needless risks? It is safer to believe and obey. We should obey His instructions.
