The biggest risk of all.

Lots of people have heard, and believe, that God is a forgiving God.  From this bit of information, they reach this conclusion:  “If I ask God to forgive me before I die, He will do so, and I will escape the eternal pains of Hell.”

Technically, this position is correct.  If, in fact, we make a sincere act of contrition and ask for forgiveness, we will receive it.  This thought has comforted all of us at some time.

Sister Mary of Agreda, however, explains that there is a great risk involved with that thinking, in fact, it is the biggest risk of all.

Sister Mary, inspired by The Blessed Mother, Herself, lets the ages know that when death draws near, so does “Lucifer and all the dark beings that revolve around him”.  They confuse the mind, distracting it from the need for contrition and the desire to ask God for forgiveness.  In fact, they do whatever they can to overwhelm the dying person so they may receive the soon-to-depart soul into hell.

Many who put off asking God for forgiveness never do so.  They took the biggest risk of all.  They lost.  Everything.  Forever.
